Who We Are
Nick and Amy welcome you to their beautiful pub, which is set at the gateway to the mountains in the hamlet of Pantygelli.
The Crown at Pantygelli is a thriving pub and restaurant situated in this quiet spot between the Sugarloaf and Skirrid peaks. It's popular with families, walkers, cyclists and locals alike.
With the recent addition of three cosy woodland lodges on the grounds, you can now drink, dine and stay at The Crown at Pantygelli.
Our Cuisine
We pride ourselves on a creative, delicious menu, whereby traditional pub dishes sit side by side with beautifully crafted, innovative options, designed by our Head Chef and his team.
Catering for vegetarian options, as well as dietary requirements, our kitchen is very happy to accommodate your needs.
Our Beverages
Supporting local breweries, we offer the best in cask ales that will suit all palettes. We enjoy a great relationship with Wye Valley Brewery, who also offer great lagers and stouts. Having travelled the world, our love of wine can clearly be seen through our evolving and diverse wine menu.
Seasonal & Locally Sourced
Our chef-driven menu highlights seasonal ingredients in simple, handcrafted dishes.
Wherever possible, we insist on using local Welsh produce, including Welsh Black Beef, Welsh Lamb, Free Range Chicken & Pork. We strive to support local businesses wherever we can.
The Local Area
Pantygelli lies about 2 miles north of the market town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, which nestles in the valley of the River Usk surrounded on three sides by hills forming the southern end of the Black Mountains.
The Crown is set on a quiet country lane which is easily accessible and it is reputed to have its own resident ghost. On a hot summer day the flower decked patio is particularly attractive as the evening sun begins to sink, lighting up the nearby sandstone cliffs of the Skirrid Mountain a vivid red brown.
